The campsite
In the highlands of Yavakapadi village Kakkabe-Kodagu, our campsite is an invitation to experience the rich biodiversity landscapes of Western Ghats with awareness and responsibility. A space created not to stand apart from nature, but to belong to it—held by the forests, hills, and seasons of Kodagu.
It's an eco-conscious and mindful outdoor camping site.

i. Getting here
No vehicle reaches the campsite. Tharun takes you up the rough track in his Thar as far as a vehicle can go, and you walk the rest. Arriving is already part of the stay.

ii. Facing east
The property looks east over the valley. On a clear morning the sun comes up through the Western Ghats and you watch it from where you slept.
iii. Where you sleep
Both include dinner, breakfast, campfire and coffee or tea. The hut sleeps five to six; we can host 20–25 across the site.

iv. Out from camp
Some Tharun takes you on himself. Others you can do on your own.
Tharun leads you off the marked paths, into the forest behind the campsite.
A there-and-back walk to the falls, led from camp.
One of the most serene stretches here. Hike in, or take the jeep safari to the river.
River crossings, slush, mud roads and mountain track through private land and forest. Moderate to hard.
The highest peak in Coorg. Starts easy and climbs to moderate. Two routes.
Reachable by your own vehicle or a taxi. Good for families and anyone not looking to trek.
v. The expedition
Jungle camping between mountain ranges — a cascading river, unexplored waterfalls, deep jungle woods. A full day's trek in, three days to walk the round. Tharun guides it, and it only runs half the year.

No plastics. This is an eco-sensitive zone. Please carry nothing in that you can't carry out.
viii. Your host
Tharun runs the campsite. He drives you up the track, cooks over the fire, and leads the treks himself — the river hike, the off-road trails, and the three-day walk in to the stone cave.
